 Leela Devi Dookhun-Luchoomun élevée au rang de GCSK

Comme le veut la tradition, le gouvernement décore des mauriciens pour leur action professionnel, éducatif et social dans le cadre de l’anniversaire de l’Indépendance du pays. La liste des décorés de la République a été rendue publique le 12 mars à minuit. La plus haute distinction de la République a été conférée à Leela Devi Dookhun-Luchoomun, le Prof Robert Louis Garron et le Dr Sudhir Hazareesingh. Ils ont été faits Grand Commander of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GCSK).

En tant que Grand Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GOSK), on retrouve Vinod Goburdhun pour sa contribution dans le secteur public, le père Alain Harel pour son travail dans le domaine religieux et social, Michel Lan Kwet Hian pour sa contribution dans le domaine des affaires, Satterdeo Peerthum pour sa contribution exceptionnelle dans les domaines social et éducatif et feu Veerendra Ramdhun pour son apport dans le secteur de la Culture et du travail social.
