The retail selling price of imported live goat and live sheep has been
fixed for the period 27 December 2021 to 15 January 2022.
The price of live goat should not exceed Rs 300 per kilogramme and
the price of live sheep should not be more than Rs 280 per
kilogramme.


Traders are reminded that the retail price should be affixed in a
conspicuous place in their trading premises.
Members of the public are reminded that they should ensure that live
goat or live sheep are weighed in their presence and that a receipt is
issued to them.


Checks will be effected by officers of the Consumer Affairs Unit of the
Ministry to make sure that there is no abusive pricing.
In case of any abuse on behalf of traders, members of the public may
file their complaint via the Citizen Support Portal or on the 185 (CAU
Hotline)
